Abstract
TheHJC model is a computational model for describing the dynamic constitutive behaviors of concrete, and is successfully implemented as a standard model in the commercial hydrocode software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. In this paper, the HJC model was extended to describe the dynamic behaviors of asphalt mixture. Based on the experimental results and the numerical simulation results, we adopted a new method to determine the HJC parameters of asphalt mixture at the given temperature. The comparison between the numerical results and the experimental results indicates that the HJC model and the present model parameters are well-suited for asphalt mixture.
