Strength and failure of planar ampoules in shock-wave tests

Abstract
Devices with non-destructive planar ampoules are developed. They allow testing samples with volumes up to 35 cm3 under various conditions of explosive effect with intensity up to 100 GPa. Strength properties of ampoules made of various steels are evaluated under dynamic loading.
