Abstract
Model ammunitions of cased TNT were exploded in model box-type RC structures to obtain data concerning the damage condition of the structure's walls. It was found from the experiments that the loading density (ratio of explosive mass to structure's volume) and the impact of the bottom part of the metal casing are important factors in the destruction of the structure's wall. Numerical calculations were conducted in two and three-dimensions to simulate the destruction of the wall. Numerical results showed that the bottom part of the metal casing can perforate the wall and the results agree with the experimental results.
